The new CH2 xHV Option allows you to set a DWV current leakage threshold of up to 5mA (real) and 22mA (total) current. When used with xHV scanners you can now test up to 1500VAC. The extended leakage current settings allow you to test assemblies with higher capacitance. Cable capacitance increases with length, so this means you can now test much longer cables than was possible before with the CH2 tester.
External power energization is now available for the easywire CH2 Tester. The CH2 Energization Unit (E Box) is a separate test box (see top box to left) with 160 to 800 energization points. These points are not used as test points but to energize lamps, LEDs, relays or other devices needing external power. The E-Box unit is connected to a CH2 test system using the same cable as a standard expansion box. With special Actuate and Energize commands now added to our easywire software you are able to design your test to accommodate a wide variety of external power needs. Energization Points: 160 - 800 Points (in 160 pt. increments) Max Current: 2 AMP Power Supply Voltages: 5, 12, 15, 24 & 48 Volts. Programmable Power Supply: Agilent E3645A 0-60 Volts. Interfacing to E-Unit: Standard AC61-KF cabling Each CH2 E-Box Unit has a power supply port on the back of the box where you plug in your selected power supply. Cirris offers 5 different static voltage level power supplies to fit your specific needs; IE: 5, 12, 15, 24, 28 and 48 volts respectively. New! Cirris has developed a software/hardware interface that will allow the use of a Optional Programmable Power Supply. This optional feature would allow the user to program his test files with voltages from 0-60 volts. The voltages could be adjusted to multiple values within one test program. The programmable supply that we developed this feature on is the Agilent E3645A. For additional information on the (E-Unit) we recommend that you view the Energization Demo presentation linked to from this page. (see above) If more detailed information is required we suggest you download and read the following PDFs.
The Custom Instructions is an add-in set of test instructions that can be used with the CH2 in order to expand the capability of the tester. With custom instructions you can integrate external meters, such as a Keithley 24xx series source meters or Agilent 344xx series DMMs to make high accuracy measurements using those instruments. You can integrate a variable power supply when using the Energization Module, allowing you to select different voltages for different applications in the same test program. Custom Instructions open up a whole new world of applications using the CH2 tester.
The adapter panel mounts directly to the front of the CH2 tester and allows you to quickly and easily adapt from the 32 pin Eurodin style connectors on the front of the tester to mating connectors of your choice. Adapter Panel Page
