Cirris Server software enables you to share one database with many different test stations. If you are currently running easy-wire or Pin-Sight software and want to share and manage the programs with other test stations this is the software for you.

With Cirris Server Software you can:

• Use the server database tools to back-up, repair, and reduce the size of the database.

How it Works:

Install Cirris Server on a Windows based computer that will be used as your test server. Install easy-wire or Pin-Sight software on your client stations. (No tester hardware required) Use the included network utility to link the Client to the server. That's it!

What you will need to use Cirris Server:

• A computer with Windows XP, Vista, or Server 2003 with user privileges to install software.
• Windows XP or Vista computer(s) and Easy-Wire or Pin-Sight software to use for each test station.
• A Windows network connected from the Clients (test stations) to the server computer.
• A Compatible Cirris tester: ( CH2, CH+, CR, or Pin-Sight )

Networking Made Easy software enables you to share folders on a Windows based machine with Cirris 1100 series or model Touch1 cable testers. If you are currently using the Touch1 or 1100 series testers and are running around with floppy disks or a thumb drive to add programs or collect SPC data, then this software is for you!

With Networking Made Easy you can:

• Edit and manage test programs from one central location for all test stations.
• Back-up your test programs and data from all stations to a network location for safe keeping.
• Analyze all production and testing data from a single client location.
• Gather all test station SPC data reports into one folder for import into SPC Link or SPC Made Easy.

How it Works:

Install Networking Made Easy on a Windows base computer that will be used as your server. Using the Cirris software create a configuration file to load on the Touch1 or 1100. Reboot your machine. Full installation instructions viewed here.

What you will need to use Networking Made Easy:

• A Windows XP, Vista, or Server 2003 with user privileges to install software, modify firewall and port settings, and access to you network configuration.
• A Windows network connected from the testers to the server computer.
• Someone who is trained to work with your network and has access rights to make changes as needed.
• The LAN-T1 or LAN-11 networking package installed on your Cirris tester.

CTLWIN is the Windows version of our popular DOS based CTLynx software. CTLWIN is used to manage test programs and script files on the R+ and H+ line of Cirris cable testers.

With CTLWIN you can:

• Edit test programs to have custom file names instead of the default learned signatures.
• Change the default connector pin labels to match your cable documentation.
• Add LUA scripts and other custom components to your test programs. (Scripting sold separately)
• Modify your test files so they can be use with other Cirris tester models.
• Back-up the wirelist in your testers' memory to a Windows PC or other external storage device.
• Print reports with graphics showing the cable connectors and wiring diagrams.

How it Works:

The Cirris R+ and H+ testers are designed to run without a PC. However, if you choose, you can load and execute the test programs directly from the CTLWIN software. CTLWIN does not show pass or failed results in the software! It does not print good or bad cable reports or get measured values test data. • A Windows XP or Vista computer with users privileges to install software.
• A Serial port or USB-to-Serial converter. (USB to Serial converter)
• A standard Serial Cable (Usually included with your tester)

LUA Scripting is an optional feature for the 1100R+, 1100H+, and Touch1 line of Cirris cable testers. It is used to transform our off-the-shelf tester into a custom test solution! For example; Used for testing complex components such as thermistors, thermocouples, toggle switch panels, sensors, and many other active components. Many customers use scripting to integrate off-the-shelf Cirris tester into larger automated manufacturing machines. An installed script trumps the testers default programming opening up a world of test possibilities to the creative programmer.

With LUA SCRIPTING you can:

• Create custom test labels using Zebra label printers.
• Add measured values to printed or electronic reports.
• Add serial numbers that can be entered, sequenced, or bar-code scanned into reports.
• Test complex parts in ways way beyond our standard passive components.
• Make testing a complex part a single button push for the operator.
• Show dialog boxes to operators and ask for user input as part of the test process.
• Test multiple parts at the same time with individual results and failures identified.

What you get:

• A special install code to enable scripting for your Cirris tester.
• A Cirris Scripting Manual on how to use scripting and the functions available.
• A disk of 50 ready-to-use scripts.

What you will need to use LUA Scripting:

• Enabling Code from Cirris, to enable script support on a compatible Cirris Tester: 1100R+ or 1100H+ or Touch1
• Computer to edit the scripts using any text editor (Notepad, Word, etc. )
• Time to learn the language and functions of scripting.

Scripting is an option that can be installed before or after the purchase of your Cirris cable tester. Some scripting functions may require a keyboard or barcode scanner to be installed to operate. "SPC Data Collection" is an optional feature used on the 1100R+, 1100H+, and Touch1 model cable testers. It is used to collect a wide variety of test data thru your qualified Cirris testers electronically. You are then able to format, print, and extrapolate test data using third party SPC data processing programs or your own speadsheet. Many of our customers use SPC Data collection to analyze and improve their product quality and to generate reports for either their customers or in-house management team.
