All standard d-sub type connectors as well as RJ45s, dual row headers etc. are available for your use. To install these drawings you will need to upgrade from your earlier easy-wire software to version 8.3. Collection of Military Circular Connector Types Along with the standard Signature adapter drawings, Cirris also offers a large selection of (circular) Military Type connector drawings to save you time and money as you setup to test these types of connectors. Create Your Own Drawings. The easy-wire software has all the tools nesessary for you to draw your own connectors with as much or little detail as you desire. |

How To Download the Connector DrawingsYou must have Version 8.3 or a newer version in order to use these new drawings. If you install version 8.3 as a fresh install (not an upgrade) you will get all the drawings as part of the install. If however, you are upgrading you will need to create the new catagories and install the drawings as outlined below. Go to Cirris FTP Site. Using the URL to the left, you can travel to our FTP site and drill down through the easywire and drawings folders to the text file located there. It is named 'standard-milspec-drwg.txt'. Right click on the file and click on the save to option in the dropdown menu. Save the file to a folder on your harddrive where you can find it later. Start Your easy-wire software. When you have your easy-wire software up and going and you are at the main menu, click on the 'Connector Type Library' button at the top of the page. |

How To Install the Connector DrawingsWhen you Click on the "Connector Type Library" button you will get a screen like the one on the left. Import Library At the bottom of this screen you will notice the "Import Library" button. Click on this button and follow the typical Windows conventions for finding a file on your harddrive; find the file (standard-milspec-drwg.txt) that you downloaded from or FTP site and select it. Then, click the OK button. The easy-wire Import Program The 'importing' program will do all the work nesessary to install the new drawings and prepare them for use. |

How To Add New CatagoriesFrom the easy-wire Main Menu, (bottom of the menu) select the Utilities button. You should see a screen like the one to the left. Select the Catagory Maintenance button. When you click on that you will get a Catagoies window like the one overlayed the System Maintenance screen on the left. Type in the name of the new catgory you wish to create and press ok. That is all there is to it. New Installation. (When you do a fresh (or new) install of version 8.3 it will automaticly create two new catagories with the install: They are called: Standard and Military. ) Upgraded Installation. (When you do a Upgrade installation of version 8.3 it will NOT create these two catagories. You will need to add the new catagories by hand. ) |
