Smart Lights

Smart lights are small LED modules that can be added to your individual fixture cables to increase their usability IQ. Smart light fixtures can be plugged onto any CR or CH2 tester in any location and still maintain the integrity of the test program used without any user changes. This is done by locating the smart light module for each fixture cable and making sure the test points match those expected by the test program. To see all of the time saving fixture management options this device makes possible check out our web site (cirris.com), or call your sales representative today.

Scripting for the CR and CH2

Now the powerful scripting functionality that you are familiar with on the Touch1, 1100, and Easy-Touch lines of test equipment is available for the CH2 and the CR. The script blocks use the same LUA language that you are already familiar with to provide custom functionality to your Easy-Wire test programs.

Connector Graphic Images

This has been a highly requested feature for a while now. Available with this release, you will be able to attach images to your connector graphics. We support .bmp, .jpg, .gif, and .png files that may be added as a background for any connector graphic. Now you can take an actual photo of the connector with your camera, or cell phone, and add it to the connector library. An additional improvement on the connector graphics is that you can set the font color for the pin label. This allows you to always make sure that the pins are visible. Try it out today.

Enhanced Point Label User Interface

We have also listened to your requests for a point labeling user interface that is like the Touch 1. Changes have been made to more closely emulate the Touch 1 in this matter. Open the editor and give it a try.

Script Blocks for Easy-Touch and the 1100

Scripting for the Easy-Touch and the 1100 now allows the ability to have portions of the script (blocks) run in the embedded hardware instead of on the PC. This allows the script blocks to operate much faster than if they had to continuously communicate back and forth from PC to tester. There is a special syntax needed in the script to make this possible, which will be documented in the scripting manual.

Dwell Time and DW Total Current Now Continuous

Previously dwell times and DW total current were limited to a few discrete options. Now they are more continuous (to 10ms chunks for dwell time).

LUA Printing Functions Available for Easy-Touch Scripting

Improved File Import Support for Easy-Touch

Importing a large number of wire lists into the Easy-Touch just got easier. We have improved the "Import All" feature to report errors in the wire lists at the end of the import process. If any errors are found, the user has the option to save them to disk. This makes it easier to import a large number of wire list files without having to acknowledge the errors individually.

Capacitance Tare for Easy-Touch and 1100

If desired, the fixturing capacitance will be determined at the start of the test and “nulled” out of the capacitor measurements for a better approximation of the actual capacitance.

Which End Support for Easy-Touch and 1100

The Easy-Wire software will now support which end error detection on the Easy-Touch and 1100 platforms.
