Creating and Editing Test Programs in External Applications

Creating and Editing Test Programs in External Applications

You can create and edit Test Programs in external applications as long as the final result conforms to the text file format used to import Test Programs into the easy-wire database. You can use any application that can save to either an ASCII text file or a CSV comma delimited file.

Test Programs in the easy-wire software exist as part of a database and not as separate files. After creating Test Programs in external applications, it is necessary to import test programs into the database and do so in a set format. The best way to follow this format is by creating a template test program in the easy-wire editor:

  • Create a test program that contains the basic block formatting
  • Export the test program you are using as the template
  • Make changes using an external application or create a new external file using that template
  • Import file into easy-wire.
